It is with regret that the Society announces the death, on 30th April,of Antonio Rocha Melo at aged 83 following a short illness. He was an associate Member of the Society since 1956. He received part of his neurosurgical training in the UK and went on to become the Head of the Department of Neurosurgery in Oporto. A full obituary will follow.
