SOCIAL PROGRAMME
To compliment the Academic Programme we have organised a full and varied social programme for all our delegates and sponsors.

On Wednesday, 8 September there will be an evening Welcome Reception. The event will be held on the Silver Sturgeon, an elegant, luxurious boat perfect for BBQ parties on a late summer’s evening. Coaches depart from Chelsea FC at 18:30 to Chelsea Harbour where we will board the Silver Sturgeon at 18:45 - departing at 19:00 for a evening of Socialising with SBNS colleagues and sponsors  while taking in some of the best views of London along the River Thames.
An evening meal will be provided with wine and a paying bar. There is also light entertainment for those that are in the mood, if not the boat has a top deck from which to enjoy the sights of London from or an area to relax in away from the excitement.
The event is supported by our sponsors and is free to delegates registered for the whole meeting or Wednesday. This really is not to be missed!

On Thursday, 9th September delegates and sponsors are invited to attend the Gala Dinner which will be held at the exclusive Hurlingham Club. It is recognised throughout the world as one of Britain’s greatest private members’ clubs, bordering the River Thames and set in 42 acres of magnificent grounds. The tickets are priced at £85.00 for delegates and partnersThe price includes, transport from Chelsea FC and back, welcome drinks, canapés, three course meal with wine, entertainment and good company!

Partner's Programme
In recent years we have not had a programme for accompanying persons, which seems a shame and means that many wives and partners do not have the opportunity to get together. For this reason our Host, William Harkness' wife Philippa has kindly offered to host a day excursion on Thursday September 9th to include a museum or gallery visit, followed by lunch and shopping. Please could all those interested contact her on philippaharkness@me.com as it will be essential to have an accurate idea of numbers in advance.

Of course if you wish to extend your stay and visit the many attractions London has to offer and need some guidance we would be only too pleased to assist. Please contact Suzanne Murray or Alix Gordon at the SBNS office.

We look forward to seeing you all in September and hope you enjoy the social events we have planned.
