The British Neurosurgical Trainees Association (BNTA) was founded in response to the introduction of the Unified Training Grade in Neurosurgery and aims to represent the opinions of neurosurgical trainees 

The BNTA provides representation to the SBNS, the SAC, and the Association of Surgeons in Training (ASIT).

The BNTA meets every six months during the Business Meeting of the SBNS.

Membership of the BNTA is restricted to those given formal trainining numbers in neurosurgery and overseas trainees who will have an elected representative.
